Treat yourself to a day on the River

As featured in The Guardian, The river Waveney winds it way though Beccles and is a beautiful tidal river to explore. The stretch of water from Beccles to Geldeston has very different flora and fauna to the reed stretches of the northern breeds, and many visitors will see kingfishers, herons, cormorants, swans and otters on a day out.

There are many ways to have day out on the river, from a leisurely stroll along Angles way, to canoeing and kayaking, a stand up paddle board or even your own motorboat for a day. All experiences are available from different businesses on the river Waveney and within easy reach of Beccles.
