Station Road, Beccles | 2026
Following the fantastic success of the previous two events, the Beccles Soapbox Derby is back for its third year, bringing another fun filled day of racing and creativity to the town.
Crowds are once again invited to line Station Road and cheer on an exciting collection of imaginative, hand-built soapbox karts as they race downhill. Competitors will include a mix of local businesses and individuals, all hoping to impress both on the course and with their creative kart designs.
But the fun won’t stop at the finish line. Throughout the day, visitors can also enjoy a variety of stalls, children’s rides and more in the town centre, creating a lively atmosphere for families, residents and visitors to enjoy.
With activities running throughout the day, spectators are encouraged to make the most of their visit to Beccles. Before, during and after the racing, there will be plenty of opportunity to explore the town centre, browse its independent shops, stop for something to eat or drink and discover more of what Beccles has to offer.
The event provides a great opportunity to bring additional footfall into the town and support local businesses while creating a memorable free day out for the whole community.
