Free WiFi? Really? What’s the catch?

There is no catch – this public WiFi service free – 100%. It’s a digital initiative courtesy of East Suffolk Council. And it’s all about supporting towns and their businesses and helping you to find what you need. It is driven by the desire to let you get the most out of your time in Beccles and its public spaces.

As a heads up, you’ll need to register the first time you use the service. This basically means providing some personal details (name, email address, date of birth, partial post-code). Signing up to receive town centre updates by email is totally optional. There’s absolutely no obligation, but it’s a handy way to get upcoming news, to hear of events and get the low down on local offers too.

What’s more, with your account created, you will also be able to use the East Suffolk free Wi-Fi service in other nearby East Suffolk market towns like Bungay and Halesworth – plus Southwold and Lowestoft on the coast.

Find out all about the service on the East Suffolk Council website by simply clicking on the button below.
