Market Place Projects brought to you by First Light Lowestoft is a project to celebrate and encourage visitors to East Suffolk Market Towns Support by East Suffolk Council and funded by the governments Welcome Back Fund. The events aim to pilot markets with added value within chosen towns, after listening carefully to each town about what they think is missing, needed or really represents the message the town would like to portray. We aim to showcase local talent and create a legacy event for the future of these towns. All markets will be support with additional activities such as music, hands on workshops, trails and street entertainers. 

Beccles- Wild About Art

A family focussed celebration based around art in all its forms. The aim to drive footfall into the town along with celebrating the people within it and who use it. Mainly focussed within New Market with some marquee cover but potential to use the Bell Tower. The centre piece of art will be Marsh Ponies by Sarah Cannell, Rachael Long and Andy Jarrett. A family trail linked to the ponies will take place across the town and landmarks to encourage visitors to explore. The New Market offer will include a small art and makers market, a handful of food stalls, free hands on family activities and entertainment.
